You have a few options with Russians, the metal ones like this are fine or this wooden one or you can make one like this.
I wouldn't use the ball at all personally but certainly not while cleaning the cage, balls can be dangerous & you need to watch all the time which you can't do while cleaning the cage. If you have to leave her better to use a carrier with plenty of substrate & maybe a treat or two.
