Best keep taming outside the cage so don’t put your hand in there, get a box smaller than her cage and just put a few of her favourite items in there. Put your hand in with her favourite treats on there until she takes them. Stop the session if you see her start to get nervous, you can try again later that evening or the next day. You may well have several sessions where she doesn’t go near your hand and that’s perfectly okay too. It’s important to go at their pace and with each session their confidence will increase as will their trust in you. My own hamster has taken months on end to get relatively tame so it’s important to keep at it even if you’re not seeing any immediate results.
