Pink is probably just a brighter lighter red to them so although they wouldn't see clearly with that they would still be aware that the cage is lighter.

If hamster vision is anything like mine (I’m super blind), they should be able to see the lights, just not the colour so in hamster vision it will look like white lights!

I know hamsters can definitely see (and chew) pink fairy lights! Please make sure they are securely sttached to the wall so they dont fall down onto the cage like mine did!
