I recently got a dwarf hamster from Petco and was wondering if it was a hybrid or not. According to the paper work it's a Djungarian Hamster(aka Winter White). The Petco website does distinguish between Campbell's Dwarf and the DJ. Is this false advertising? My hamster does look very much like a winter white but I know that with hybrids it can be hard to tell. The coloring is very distinct to a winter whites though.
