Default Re: Keeping two robos together

That's a beautiful setup! I've never done it myself though I'd love to. my two boys had to be separated and they had one ikea detolf which proved to not help in the long term. I've heard and followed advice for keeping two that eventually failed. That's why when i saw this I was baffled.

Upon further research, not scientific, people say robos do better as confirmed female littermates in groups of 4 or more with a sole male as that mimics their natural setup.

Personally I wouldn't recommend it as we simply don't know enough of the roborovski's wild natural behavior and what we know is through breeders.

So I'd second having 2 of everything, change bedding weekly or biweekly. Make sure to clean wheels and toys as fights for mine broke out a lot less on "new" (ie clean wheels and toys). Eventually I couldn't keep up though and they just got hormonal. Also if there's any squeaking watch like a hawk. The moment there's pinning and chasing, it's time to make a tough decision.

I did. I don't regret it. They are happier now.

However, hopefully yours will get along as I miss the days when mine would snuggle up in a heap. It was super adorable
