I think Robos are probably the easiest species to keep in pairs & males tend to be less territorial than females so there is a chance that they will be able to stay together.
Most pairs do tend to fall out though, as they mature their natural behaviour takes over & they want their own space so can get territorial or begin to fight whatever you try to do to help prevent it.
The Barney may be a bit big for them if they're used to a small cage, with no platforms or levels of any kind, two of everything & houses/hideouts with more than one exit & little open space in the cage they may take to it ok.
There's no way of knowing for sure.
Robos aren't prone to diabetes so no worries there.
