I personally don't like the idea of using vinegar as disinfectant - as it doesn't effectively kill bacteria plus it can leave the cage smelling of vinegar if not properly rinsed out.

I personally prefer to use some pet safe disinfectant or some unscented soap which I clean the cage with and rinse out thoroughly afterwards.
