I'm truly sorry that dear Ares has passed. It is always extra hard to lose your first ham ever. He was quite the ham and always full of much spunk. I'm sure he will be greatly missed by you, but he will live on in your heart and memories forever. You gave him a wonderful life filled with so much love, and I'm sure he loved you so much, too. I'm sure your beloved Hera will be more than happy to help your broken heart heal with her cuddles and whisker kisses. My heart goes out to you during this time; we are here for you, SaltyPickles.
