Oh ok! Should I wait a couple months then, rather than next month, before I get a new cage?

Also, sorry to ask again; but why should I remove the level from the cage? His food and water bottle are up there and I don't want to stress him too much, since I'm already removing the tubes? Am I in the wrong?
