Does your hamster usually interract with you lots in the evening? If it is just background noise/light I wouldn't worry. Long as you get him out like usual. If you are concerned, as I mentioned you could put a little night light in the room. Many people have hamsters in spare rooms where they only go in to get the hamsters out for the play time
