So me and my boyfriend have just gone downstairs to our living room to investigate a crashing noise only to find Missy, one of our hammies, has escaped from her cage when her external tubes collapsed and fell to the ground
.
In a panic we start to check behind and under all of the furniture only to find her sprinting out from behind the washing machine and flying around the living room. Now anyone with a female Syrian hammy (a long haired one especially) will know that grabbing hold of these little fluff balls is like trying to grab hold of one of those toy’s you got as a kid that just slipped right out of your hand!
Anyway, long story short it took 2 of us (and the dog!) to get her safely back into her cage, and she is now resting on our bedside so that if it happens again at least we will be there straight away to see where she runs off to
Does anybody else have any harrowing hammy Houdini stories?!
