You could have a house/hide big enough to fit a toilet/potty in it next to the nest. The poop should be dry. So it’s ok to leave it a bit longer than the pee before removing it. They sometimes eat the poop, but it is quite normal, so don’t worry.

Peed on food will likely be soft, smell and possibly show mould on it.
