I don't think gloves are going to help, I can understand you being nervous after having been bitten but you do need to try & relax a bit as your ham will just pick up on your fear which can make them nervous.
I'm not sure if hams don't like gloves or if they see them as a chew toy or something but I did try it once with a tame ham, used to handling & no biting, I put my hand in the cage with a glove on & he immediately had a good chomp!
You need your ham to get used to you so try going without gloves, just go slow, if you're in the tub with Pancake just let her run around on your for a while, try putting treats on the palm of your hand & see how she goes taking those.
