Yesterday we adopted a couple of hamsters from the SSPCA, they think they are a year old or so and a boy and a girl

After the initial jumping around in the travel carriers they went to sleep and woke up when we arrived home. Delphia was very keen to get in to her new cage, while Veikko had already fallen asleep again in the carrier and was stubbornly refusing to get out. Delphia was having a good run around everywhere, with lots of sniffing, a shot on her wheel and a roll around in her sand before eventually going for a sleep. We eventually got Veikko out by removing all the bedding from the carrier He had a little walk around and had a shot on his wheel and a dig in the sand before going back to bed.

Veikko go up again a little later and had a much bigger explore around his new home, he took some seeds from me and was happy to let me pet him. Delphia had a little screech at me when I tried to pet her but they seem quite used to hands

Very short clip of them, couldn't resist getting them both on the same video when they were out and about at the same time. Their cages aren't touching and they're not close enough to be able to paw at each other either Delphia is on the pink ledge and Veikko by his water bottle.
