Pine cones are fine, I've used them with several of my hamsters.
I'm not sure about crab apple wood tbh, apple wood is fine but it's not the same species so not sure.
Apple, hazel & willow are the only woods I know for sure are safe, there are more I think but I can't remember off hand.
I can't imagine a ham wanting to eat a crab apple, they are usually extremely sour! Not sure if they're safe or not but they are acidic, more so than apples I would have thought although I could be wrong, I would err on the side of caution if you can't find any conclusive info & not even try.
