Can't say I've ever heard of sprays being used on hamsters before either, do you know what it is?
He might just have been upset due the house cleaning, the can get quite agitated by cleaning so it might be an idea to try to get him to use a litter tray with some sand in, either close by his nest or if he has a big house inside so you don't have to destroy the nest when you spot clean.

Yes, its calles Bio Kill 2,5 mg/l and it says on the bottle it can be used on hamsters
I will move the sand bath closer to the home and it could solve it as well. I have been spot cleaning the cage, so now he doesnt have to to suffer from me cleaning it too often.
Well, I cant speak for the vet, thats what he told me, I will keep an eye on Loki for sure though.
