I don't know if Herman (male Syrian hamster) is just eating his food at night or if he is teeth chattering. I can hear it while I try to sleep.

On the subject, if a hamster is quietly teeth chattering while you pet it or look at it, is it angry or is it happy?

Saw some controversy in my research so I wanted to hear from people who walked with hamsters.
