It may be that the RSPCA are no longer doing this, as this Uk reptile rescue says (further down the page) that they are no longer taking in private rescues due to the large influx from the RSPCA.

There is one in Liverpool - they may do collections or meet you half way. It would be worth giving them a call as if they can't do it they may know someone who can.
