They build really big nests in winter. Our Syrian has alsopiled bedding up againsthis house in a big heap to insulate it! They are just doing what they need to do to keep warm instinctively. Just put more bedding paper strips out so there are always some there. Theyblocl themselves in to prevent draughts sometimes. You stillneed to be careful this time of year with freezing nights etc, that the room is warm enough. Day and evening might be ok with centralheatingbut I sometimes put a little oilfilled radiator on in the hamster's room,overnight on low or on a timer,in winter.
