They only need a tiny amount of veg anyway
About 1 cm cubed size I give (doesn't have to be cube shaped that's just an idea of size). Some people do give the odd dog biscuit - personally I stick to hamster chews. Rosewood dandelion ones are popular here, and the antos mini toothbrush chews (which are actually dog chews but they are vegetable based and not biscuits).
