Please don't be annoyed with yourself, BP. It is difficult to know exactly what to do sometimes since we don't exactly speak hamster unfortunately. You were making the changes because you love him and want to help him settle in as quickly and as easily as possible. I know I would have been inclined to do the exact same thing as you did if I was in your shoes. I would just give Boris more time to settle in to his new cage setup without making any further adjustments and let him get accustomed to everything on his own timetable. I'm sure he will settle in soon enough. He is Captain Sensible after all, lol.
