I think he smelled food on my hands - not like me to forget washing them after handling food but routine is different feeding two at the same time!
I'm trying to decide which would be the least disruption - taking the legs off his house and lowering it (at the moment he is underneath it and the wheel is blocked all the time with his pushed out Fitch). Or replacing the shelf with a shorter one and moving the wheel. I'm tempted to do the first. It seems a shame but he was quite happy in a house before and is getting a bit untame being buried all the time.
