That should be okay then,as long as the heads are pinched off to be safe(especially since you can feed natural but inexpensive foods just before they get eaten to give maximum nutrition)
It's mostly the dried I'd worry about(pretty much always products of China or made in China etc).
It is unfortunate to not have a Petsupermarket,since they tend to have better deals on Higgins
Petco should still have Vita Garden though.Alternatively,there are some retailers in Iowa who carry Higgins.If any are within a distance you could get to,you could call ahead and see if they do have any Vita Garden in stock(if they don't carry that exact product,retailers of the brand might be able to order it in).The official Higgins website has a store locator to check for that,although from what I've seen there are no listed Petco stores!
