Thank you everyone for the advice and tips. The link on baby foods is very useful. I didn't know you could feed cooked rice or cooked pasta to hamsters - Ralph might like this! We will keep an eye on his teeth following the advice. He might be a little old ham man of 2 years 1 month but he has lots of spirit and still demands a cuddle most evenings
