I'm kicking off this month with the little ones that started it all off for me. I was pretty late in starting to keep hammies, I'd always had mice and other pets but I got my very first hammies in 2012/13. I joined here to learn everything I could as I wasn't planning on getting a hammy when I did so wanted to do lots of research.
My mum picked me up from work one Sunday in July 2012 and took me to P@H as she'd forgotten to pick me up some mouse food. It turns out she had an ulterior motive and had fallen in love with a Syrian that she thought I'd like, a little 4 month old LH Mink girl. Needless to say she came home with me that day and we named her Fudge.

I loved Fudge but I was really in love with Robos and wanted one really badly (I mean why not, those little eyebrows!). At the end of January 2013, my mum and dad phoned me, they were in P@H and had seen a little Robo boy in the adoption centre and did I want him? Of course! They lent me the money to get everything he needed and I paid them back out of my driving lesson fund (Hamsters>Driving Lessons). I named him Sheldon (after Big Bang Theory) as he was a picky little boy who loved things to be just right.
