What do you need to get to weigh them . My girl is a little longer than my the width of my hand. She is thinking, not bony and really active. She is a little girl when I see some of the pis of syrians you have. She has a good appetite and eats a lot. No potty issues. And she does not stink or get dirty very often I do not use the sand as I'm not sure what to get. My hamster is snuggly and licks me often likes to give nosies.
