I don't want to dampen your mood, but I don't think hams have the mental capacity to love (especially solitary species). It serves no evolutionary purpose, and thus wouldn't be passed to offspring. Therefore, it's unlikely they can comprehend love either. However, I do believe that hamsters learn to associate us with good things, and come to trust us. Hamsters do recognize, and prefer, their owners over other people- so at least there's that? This shouldn't matter though, all that matters is that you're a good owner to her
