Is lemon juice safe to put on the bars? I thought anything citrus was dangerous for hamsters?
It does sound like attention seeking to me too. Does she live in your bedroom? I think sometimes if they can still sense you are in the same room then they carry on trying to get your attention but if you leave the room they stop.
