It does sound like attention seeking, it's best to totally ignore it so she doesn't get a reward for the behaviour, maybe try giving her something like a treat toy made out of toilet roll tube or kitchen roll tube when you put her back in so she has something to occupy her at that time & just make sure she has plenty of enrichment to keep her busy.
