Personally I would not use human medication on any animal without contacting a veterinarian first. I wouldn't use neosporin on my hamster but maybe options differ. I would definitely take him/her to the vet to be checked out and in the mean time watch for inflamation, redness and pus. If any of those occur, you'll need to make a vet trip asap without fail. I've only ever used human creams on my animals after it's been recommended by my long term vet and then it was only Vaseline for a dry skin patch on my dogs elbow which was dressed so he couldn't lick it.
