Default Re: The guinea pig Dilemma

Given they came from a background where they were possibly mishandled or not handled, you have both done the right thing here by allowing the piggies to come to you! Patience is always rewarded and whether it`s mice, gerbils, hamsters, rats or guinea pigs, it`s always best to let them dictate the pace.

I would do the same thing. Sit on the floor, chat away like a mad woman and just sit there with food on me or by me and allow the pigs to do their thing, even if they still didn`t come close or wanted to be hand fed. If you continue this routine, they will settle in and will soon realise they are in a good place.

Well done taking them on ladies. Stick with it, chill out and enjoy them. x
