If you want something closed in, I had a glass cookie jar on it's side (it had ine flat side) for my syrian Cleo. She mainly used it for a toilet but did have a good dig in it too. My boy syrian Pip is lazy so he just pees in it and that's it! I had a corner pan but he wee'd over the top of it (nice) so I've trying out a bird bath thing and so far I like it and he seems to as well.
ETA: this is the bird bath. I got mine in a local pet store but pretty sure it's the same thing.
