It think it's just the angle of the shot making his tail look longer than it really is!

it's a shame flax isn't more readily available like that in the UK, Zooplus sell it in a bundle with other things like millet & dari, it might be sold for birds some place I'm not sure though, I stock up on that & other things we can't get here when I get my food from Mixerama.

It's easy to grow but the mice in my garden always beat me to the harvest
