I think everyone has a different approach when it comes to taming and different techniques will suit different animals/owners in different situations. You really just have to go with your gut don't think anybody is in the wrong here.

Clearly Princess Pixie what you and your sister have been doing is ideally suited to your piggies as they responded so well. It's lovely that you are both being rewarded for your kindness in rescuing them and your patience too. They're very lucky to have found such a loving home.
