Like I said, I only had to do that because they had health problems that needed urgent attention, I had to handle them twice a day for ten days to give medical attention as directed by the vets.
I wasn't chasing them round the cage, I would direct them into a corner and pick them up from there to minimise the stress, the whole thing lasted seconds.
It's do able if you do it properly.

I wouldnt chase them round the cage or anything like that.
I just wanted you to know that I wasn't scaring the life out of them by chasing them all over the place.

It just so happened that this lead to them becoming very tame very fast.
The more you handle them the less scared they will become of being handled.
