P@h told me they get baby hams in aged 8-10 weeks, so she will have been that old when you got her. This is normal behaviour for a new young hamster before they have been tamed. She will stop doing this once she is fully used to being handled. While she is still leaping, make sure that you never lift her more than a few cm from the floor of the play bin. And, you may want to use a cup or other suitable container to transport her from her cage to the play bin.

As for leaping in the play bin, this is probably because she is young and active. Make sure she can’t leap/fall too far to prevent injuries.
