The hamsters returned to Metallica on Sunday after their little holidays with the 'pet sitters'. Victoria and Daniela went to stay with my sister and her boyfriend but whilst Daniela gave them no cause for concern, Victoria had decided to bury her food bowl and I'd actually ended up throwing it away with the used substrate (I don't always use food bowls for Victoria, Luna or Jess) and I didn't actually realise this until I got a text from my sister's boyfriend asking about it. I told him that she might have buried it but if he couldn't find it then she'd be content enough with her food just dumped on the substrate. She wasn't bothered but I didn't realise what I'd done until my dad suggested that I checked that I hadn't thrown it out by accident given what some of my girls are like for burying things. Sure enough, it was in the bag of used substrate. She's buried her sand bath as well now and made more tunnels in her Megazorb.
