The main thing would be to make sure it's escape proof and the tube can't be pushed out, plus that there are no sharp edges (bars or plastic). It would be too big for me to tackle! Maybe someone else would have ideas (or youtube). How big is the tank? If it's big enough on its own you might be better just keeping the smaller cage as a play cage or somewhere to go during clean-outs.
