A detolf would be okay size-wise, but it would be a bit shallow when it comes to holding bedding. Gerbils should have a bare minimum of 10 inches of bedding, but 12+ is really optimum. I personally love 40 gallon
tall tanks for them as it gives them ample room, and also allows for tons of bedding! What country are you in, this will help in recommending cages
