I think the irritation just needs a little extra help at this point with some safe moisturizers and such.It was terrifying at first,but fortunately it's a manageable nightmare!A good diet has definitely done the majority of the work,but between that and extra necessary things he should heal perfectly
Luckily for me his favorite dry food is technically a puppy food(he's weird about kibble size).He's really not picky with wet food however,nor has he ever completely rejected wet food,although a lamb based wet food did take two tries until he would eat it.I do need to experiment more with his food though,but hopefully I'll be able to get him onto a more completely rotational diet rather than just rotational wet food.
I might attempt making some frozen dog treats at some point though,especially since it should be getting hotter here next month!
