Thin Lizzy. Pumpkin been loving her new playbin and has been enjoying spending the time when she not being cuddled exploring the additional space. Pumpkin used to bang the lid when she was in her old playbin to let me know she wants to come out for cuddles - although this bin is taller she now realised if she stands on top of her knuff shelf she can bang the lid and when I open the box she climbs up my arm for cuddles.
Pumpkin's Photoshoot - Out-takes
I'm glad that you like the photo I managed to get of Pumpkin for HOM - normally Pumpkin has other ideas and she thinks my ideas aren't as good as her but his time she knew exactly what I wanted. I was so pleased when I managed to get the photo I had wanted and she was rewarded with some dried mealworms and a monkey nut. It also nice to be able to do her photoshoot inside her cage where she feels more comfortable with investigating the prop instead of running off like she used to do when her photoshoot where done in her playpen. I didn't do anything to make Pumpkin stand with the broom - I was letting her do her own thing with the prop and she decided to stand up holding the stick of the broom luckily I manage to be quick at getting the photo before she moved! Also as I attached the broom to the little bucket so it made it easier for her to stand up holding it!
Pumpkin's New Wheel - Trixie Wooden Wheel
Pumpkin's new wheel was delivered on Thursday - I was so happy when it arrived as I can get a little impatient waiting for my parcels to come. This wheel will be going in her playbin once I finished painting it with plastikote - only had enough clear paint to do the insides - as for some reason I had put an empty pot back inside the box where I store my plastikote, but will be getting more this weekend to finish painting the wheel so she can enjoy it in her playbin.
As I had painted the inside I thought I would see what Pumpkin's reaction was to her new wheel - well she loves it! She had an explore around the wheel initially before hopping inside and having a good run - as she was running in her wheel and didn't want to go back inside her cage I thought I would grab my camera and get a few photos.
I must say I'm very pleased with this wheel as I had wanted a wooden cork lined wheel for a while now so happy when I saw that Zooplus had started to sell this one for £9.99 (when on offer)- I also love that the wheel uses ball bearings so the wheel is silent (apart from the pitter-patter of her feet). The internal diameter of the wheel is 28cm/11". I'm even considering ordering another one in the future for her cage but at the moment I think Pumpkin has enough wheels - as she now currently has 3!
