Thank you
I finally have a spare minute to update my ramble and rant threat
.
So DoFE went well last weekend and it was super fun. We may not have finished first, but we got lost a couple of times (yay) and people kept getting injured. In the end, I walked around 16 miles over two days with a very heavy bag.
On the first day, my group got paired up with another group and we had quite a lot of fun and made a lot of hilarious jokes. On the second day, we walked in our separate groups, but kept bumping into that other group. At the campsite, we had to put up our own tents and cook our own dinner over these special camping stoves.
I don't really know how to explain the whole thing, as we were mainly walking. I really enjoyed the experience (one of the few who did) and I didn't get injured at all (yay!). I can't wait for the final assessed expedition, which is in a few weeks. Unfortunately, my best friend has decided to drop out of the assessed expedition for medical reasons, but our group didn't end up being the bad. The group were quite grateful for my navigation skills

I don't have any Jasper updates as I haven't seen him since Saturday, but I should see him this Sunday as I'm staying over at my Dad's then. I saw some puppy photos yesterday of the litter we are hopefully getting a dog from. They are at the cutest stage at the moment, but I probably won't get to see them until next week. I imagine we are choosing a dog next weekend, fingers crossed
. If we are definitely getting a dog, I might move Jasper to my Mum's while the puppy settles in and is being trained, so the dog doesn't upset Jasper at all.
The guinea pigs are all well (finally) and quite happy in their cage. Hopefully the cage liners are almost ready to be posted and I really want them to come in time for Oreo's birthday. That reminds me, Oreo's birthday is the 31st May (approximately when he was born) so I have started saving toys up for birthday presents. I'm not going all out like I did with Jasper, as Oreo has had a lot of Christmas', Birthdays and Adoption Anniversaries already. I can't believe my piggy will be 6! So far, I have a Piggie Dig for his birthday and some small things, but I know what he will love (and always does). There's a chew toy of a selection of different balls which are made of different chewable materials, which he alsways goes crazy for. For Pemba's birthday, I am going to get some treats, a couple of chew toys and I'm saving a Carrot Cottage, which I got at The London Pet Show.
I'm all rambled out
lol.
Surprisingly, yesterday, the vets were nice to me. Maybe they felt guilty. Anyway, one more volunteering session to go!
