I found where Souffle told me about the milk! Sounds as though milk is just generally good for small animals and beneficial for their fur in particular.

I do agree it probably is not essential. I guess I was just trying to do the best for Mushu so he is as healthy as possible! But then again if he does insist on pouching his porridge...
