Thank you Souffle! Yes he is quite easy to pick up - when he is not rushing around lol. He lets me pick him up when he's in the cage and when he is sitting still in the playpen. Been doing the hand to hand tunnel too
He does like his back being stroked and gets all chilled then. Yes removing a bit of substrate is a good idea - if he nests where I can't spot clean easily it could be tricky. I think he is just under the house on the other side of it. He does seem to like digging a lot and seems quite confident out and about in the cage. He's lovely and very active
