Do you know what type of wood it is? If it doesn't specifically say aspen, then I wouldn't risk it. Some people say kiln-dried pine is safe, but I personally would never risk using softwoods as bedding. Plus, unspecified wood beddings often have a myriad of different types of wood- many of which aren't safe to even be chewed! Do you have a link you can share so we can help you determine for sure?
