Hiya everyone, I am making a new thread for my rats as my old one is so outdated! Lots of things have happened so I feel we need a big new update!
The girls:
-Robyn
My most hyperactive crazy nutter! She is just mental! This is your typical female rat, hyperactive, playful and just wanting to explore, not interested in sitting still at all (only for food) and she is just wonderful. Robyn is also known as Escapay in this house as she ALWAYS finds a way out of something, wether it be her playpen, my arms, or her cage as soon as I open the door! She will just make a run for it! She is 2 and a half and her twin sister is Roo.
-Roo
This is Robyn's sister. She is still pretty crazy, but has a slightly more skittish side to her. She is unsure of new people, but once she gets to know you she gets a little like her sister! Roo absolutely loves her food and will steal it if she knows she can get away with it! As you can see, the twins are both very similar! Roo has more colour on her back than her sister.
-Erin
Erin is an absolute sweetheart. Compared to my other girls, her personality is a lot calmer and she acts more like a male rat. She is a snuggler! She is just so gentle you can squish her and cuddle her and put her on your shoulder and she just doesn't do anything, she's just happy to have your attention. If I have friends come over that are unsure of rats, this is the girl I show them! She's managed to convert my bf to become rat obsessed, so she has a very special place in my heart. She is slowing down now, she is around 2/2 and a half years old now, but hopefully she'll be okay for a while longer yet!
-Elsie
Elsie is Erin's sister! As you can see she only has one eye, she lost it recently after playing escalated a little too far and her eye got scratched. It became ulcerated and she was on medication for a while. After a while it got to the point where it wasn't getting any better, so in the end we stopped it. The vet was happy for us not to operate on her, so she still has her eye, its just very shriveled and useless. So she has a permanent squint! She can't see out of it, so she is partially blind, but she's not in pain and is coping very well. As you can see, she is a very pretty girl!
-Faye
Faye is my very beautiful (very hormonal!) siamese girl. My bf got her for me as a birthday present last year, she looked very different back then! It was lovely seeing her colour changing. Unfortunately her moods have been changing too! She has her moments! One minute she will be all over you, and the next she will puff up her fur and try and bite you! She's such a character, certainly lets you know when she's had enough of being fussed we can say that!
-Freya
Freya is my youngest and most tiniest girl in the world. (Honestly, she hasn't grown I swear, since I got her!) I got her back in November when she was 12 weeks old, she hadn't had any handling and was left all alone in a petshop tank because the lady who they had ordered her in for, didnt want her. So she was left all alone and the petshop staff were all scared of her (because she was so vocal) and refused to handle her. As a result... she's a bit of a handful! She was incredibly nervous when I first got her, but she was handle-able. She just nips! A lot! And she still does! Months and months down the line, she still nips. Always has, and I think she always will. She is so brave now, its lovely to see. She is very much like Robyn, always keen to make an escape!
The boys:

-Thor
This handsome chunk is my big boy Thor. Isn't his colouring just gorgeous? I have a major soft spot for roans... Suppose I should tell you how we ended up with him and his brother. My bf saw a gumtree advert saying that they were giving away two male rats and a cage for £20. So of course, he told me and (typically) I gave in and said yes... (how could I not!) Turns out a 14 year old owned them and couldn't look after them anymore due to exams. So we ended up bringing home two, one year old rats and their cage. Thor is a real sweetie and just wants cuddles and to lick you to death!
-Loki
This is Thor's more nervous brother. He is much more cautious and wary than Thor. He much prefers exploring to cuddles, but will come and say hello for the occasional head rub. As you can see, he is so handsome!
-Albus
Albus is a mini version of Thor! Looks the same, and acts the same. Loves snuggles! Now, I know what you are all thinking, 'I thought you only had two boys?' Well, we did... and then when I was at work, my bf went out and got two more! Being advertised for free on gumtree because the owner hated the smell of them. So, in the space of a few days, we went from no boys, to two boys, to four boys! And I had no choice but to introduce them to Thor and Loki, there and then! Because otherwise the girl's cage would have to be split into two and they'd have to stay underneath them. Luckily, the introduction went super well and they were all living together within a few hours. (Which is something that isn't recommended at all! But I didn't really have a choice)
Anyway, here's the little cutie!
-Sirius
And here we have the last one! Meet Sirius, my black hooded snuggly, kissy, licky dumbo boy! I have never had a black hooded before, and its a colour i've always wanted so when I saw him, I just fell in love! (Well, after I got over the initial shock about getting more rats anyway!) He loves exploring, and is proving to be rather brave. He will jump from the cage onto the bed, or onto you, expecting to get put down so he can go exploring. He won't ever wonder far though, he just finds a small space and snuggles in best he can. Like when I put him on my bed, he'll just go into the pillow case and stick his head out! Albus and Sirius are around 4 months old, so they are our youngest rats.
This has been a little rushed, as its getting late, and i'm tired and I have work again tomorrow, but I hope you enjoyed this so far! I will try and post more regularly from now on. Sorry that the boys info wasn't very detailed, I don't know them well enough to write much as of yet!
