Let's See Your Cages (May 2016)
My ham has had three cages in the 7 months that he's been with me.
---> The first one was the biggest one that I could get when I got him, but it was really small and totally unsuitable (50x30cm). It was a barred cage, and he was clearly uncomfortable, because he chewed the bars a lot.
---> As soon as I could, a month later, I upgraded him to an aquarium. It was 80 cm long but it was very narrow (30 cm). I think he liked it, he seemed ok in it, I honestly believe that he could have live there the rest of his life and have a good life, but I wasn't happy with the space either because I couldn't fit a lot of toys for him.
---> So I finally upgraded him to a terrarium and he's been living there for the last two months. It was custom made, and it's 100x50 cm. Now I'm happy and I think that he's happy too, even if I see him less than in the smaller cages.
