The MAJOR reason I opted for Habitrail was because I did NOT want my hamsters to have cataracts in old age. Plastics absorb UV radiation.
I love the OVO Den. Just lift up cover it will block the hamster. Pull out the white base. Dump sand and then add sand is a daily exercise requiring less than 20 seconds only.
You can also add your favorite water bottle instead of the one supplied.
