As geewhiz said, it's perfectly normal, but can be very aggravating! Try offering a very comfy hut for him to sleep in (treats like a whimzees toothbrush can help) and with time he should end up choosing that over his wheel. As long as he's not stressed though when his nest is ruffled by the wheel movement, then I wouldn't stress too much
