My first instinct it looks like blood but it is bright red, but not, what I think, the consistency of blood the only problem is trying to monitor him as I discovered it in his sand which he uses when he is out at night. During the day I'm afraid he is too lazy to come out and uses a corner in his sleeping but. I cleaned him out last night and didn't notice anything but there again I wasn't looking too close for anything out of the ordinary. I will be keeping a very close eye on him.
